Cassandra Robinson -- Board Member
Cassandra Robinson graduated from the University of Southern California in 1983 with a degree in Journalism. After graduation she immediately began a career in entertainment working for ABC Television in Studio City, California. From 1990 through the year 2000 she worked for two Southern California radio stations, KACE 103.9 FM and KJLH 102.3 FM. While working in radio Robinson had an opportunity to work with many local businesses and community organizations. It was during this time that she began to develop an even deeper sense of caring for needy children and urban youth. Starting in 2003 she worked for the Tavis Smiley Foundation and helped organized a major empowerment and educational leadership conference for seven days in Washington, D.C. with over 1000 youths called Youth To Leaders.
In May 2008 she joined the Los Angeles Unified School District as a Student Support Services Program Counselor / Community Outreach & Partnerships at Normandie Avenue Elementary in Los Angeles, California. |
